Antistatic method for engineering plastics

Plastic products can be electrostatic or electrostatic, and can be evaluated by volume resistance or surface resistance. Usually the volume resistance is 108

(6) use antistatic agent.

These methods have their own characteristics, but also have their limitations. The most common method of antistatic engineering plastics is to add antistatic agents. But all kinds of engineering plastics have their own structures and chemical characteristics. Therefore, different antistatic agents should be selected according to their respective characteristics. Polyoxymethylene (POM) is very small, high degree of crystallinity, and general polymer antistatic agent has poor compatibility, so the POM should be used in weak polar low molecular antistatic agent or hydrophilic polymer antistatic agent, such as adding diethylene glycol fatty acid ester [2]

Etc.. PC and PS are the engineering plastics with high processing temperature and glass transition temperature. They need a very high dosage to achieve the desired effect. PC should be suitable for non-ionic fatty acid monoglyceride and anionic alkyl benzene sulfonyl salt [7]. PA as a result of crystallization

The crystallization process of the non crystalline part between the crystalline particles is prevented, and the antistatic effect of the antistatic agent is influenced. In general, the choice of antistatic agents for engineering plastics should be based on the compatibility of antistatic agents and plastics, the crystallinity of plastics, the glass transition temperature of plastics, and the mobility of plastics. The antistatic agents currently used are mainly surfactants. The chemical structure contains one or more polar groups (hydrophilic groups) and hydrophobic groups (lipophilic groups). In addition, a part of antistatic agent to penetrate into the surface of the resin, hydrophilic to absorb moisture in the air, forming a thin water soluble conductive layer, so that the static charge along the conductive layer can be rapidly releases.

Antistatic agents, on the other hand, can increase the smoothness of the product and reduce the coefficient of friction, thereby reducing or inhibiting the generation of electrostatic charge. The antistatic agent itself is charged with electricity. If it is contrary to the static charge accumulated on the surface of the plastic product, the phenomenon of electric neutralization can be produced. In addition to the hydrophobic part, the ionic antistatic agent can increase the surface ion concentration and provide ionic conduction pathways. The non-ionic antistatic agent causes a small amount of electrolyte in the polymer to ionize and reduce the resistance
